The Hillsborough Terriers and the Countryside Cougars squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Hillsborough Terriers had to settle for second. They received a tough blow as they fell 69-50 to the Cougars. Hillsborough's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Countryside was led to victory by Carter Padags and Corey Perlin. Padags scored 19 points along with two steals, while Perlin scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Perlin hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Cameron Halloran, who scored ten points.
Hillsborough's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Countryside, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
Hillsborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Countryside, they will square off against Wharton at TBD on Thursday. Countryside is coming into the matchup with eight straight wins on the road, meaning Wharton will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
