This season hasn't been kind to the Far Northeast W Warriors, who are still winless after their 14th game. They were dealt a 94-43 defeat at the hands of George Washington on Saturday. Far Northeast W was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-14.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julian Griffin-Cobbs, who scored ten points along with three steals. Jessie Matthews was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Jeremiah Trimm continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for George Washington, scoring 27 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Trimm has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chris Fernandez, who scored 20 points.
Far Northeast W's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for George Washington, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-6.
Far Northeast W will head out on the road to challenge Rangeview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Rangeview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday. As for George Washington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denver South at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Denver South is ranked 54th, while George Washington is ranked 56th).
