The Kellis Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Metro Tech 74-28 on the road. Winning may never get old, but Kellis sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Kellis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nevaeh Limbacher, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Limbacher also scored 15+ points for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Breanitzy Stewart, who scored 11 points along with nine steals and eight rebounds.
Kellis' win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Metro Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Kellis will be home for the holidays to greet Peoria at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Metro Tech won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McClintock at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th. McClintock's defense has only allowed 22.6 points per game this season, so Metro Tech's offense will have their work cut out for Metro Tech.
