East Rutherford will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against South Caldwell at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
East Rutherford had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were fully in charge last Thursday, breezing past North Gaston 42-0.
Meanwhile, South Caldwell couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. South Caldwell weren't too far behind, but the team still lost 14-20 to Kings Mountain last week.
East Rutherford's win lifted them to 1-0 while South Caldwell's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if East Rutherford can add another positive mark to their record or if South Caldwell can shake off the loss and take the spring out of East Rutherford's step.
