The Cox Mill Chargers posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 80-37 victory over South Iredell on the road. Given Cox Mill's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while South Iredell is ranked 546th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cox Mill found their leader in underclassman Cruz Miller, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Miller has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Brown, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Cox Mill now has a winning record of 9-8. As for South Iredell, their loss was their 17th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-16.
Cox Mill will take on Mooresville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Iredell, they will head out on the road to take on West Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
