Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight  defeat. They lost  3-0 to the Springfield Tigers. The Leopards were not able to make up for their  loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting  back in September of 2024.

Liberty's offense was headlined by  Tamia Lyons and  Kennedy Malone, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from  Saffron Blank and her three assists. Finally,  Lyons was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.
 Leading Springfield to victory were  Erika Grinstead and  Emily Conner.  Grinstead  had six  aces, while  Conner  had five  digs and three  aces. Those  six  aces gave  Grinstead a new career-high.  Julia Vecchione also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Springfield, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.
 Coming up, Liberty will take on Crestview at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Springfield, they will face off against Brookfield at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday.
