The Skyview Falcons will challenge the Gallatin Raptors at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Skyview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
While Skyview's victory against Great Falls wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Falcons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Bison on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted against the Bison since May 7, 2022.
Brooklyn Arce spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Kacie Morris was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ruby Sheridan, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one RBI.
Skyview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Gallatin faced Billings West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Raptors fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raptors have suffered since May 24, 2024.
Zoe Bassham was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Skyview's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Gallatin, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Skyview hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Gallatin struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Skyview might still be hurting after the 26-11 defeat they got from Gallatin in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
