Elkhorn took their contest against Mount Michael Benedictine 67-56. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Elkhorn also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Leading Elkhorn to victory were Luke Howard and Colin Comstock. Howard scored 18 points, while Comstock scored 21 points. Audric Bermel was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Elkhorn's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elkhorn will take on Waverly at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, they will head out on the road to face off against Plattsmouth at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday.
