Trinity Episcopal Day extended the longest winning streak in MAIS AA District 5 this week by beating Central Private, 40-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Saints.
Trinity Episcopal Day took down the Rebels 40-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Brookhaven Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Gage Posey threw for 254 and three touchdowns and Seth Rushing had 154 yards receiving. On the ground Landon Nettles chipped in 54 yards. Ross Foreman helped Brookhaven Academy's passing attack out by catching six balls for 57 yards.
Brookhaven Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Posey has thrown for 1155 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Rushing has 30 catches for 474 yards. Nettles leads the league in rushing with 629 yards.
Columbia Academy led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Wayne Academy.
