Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Klondike Cougars, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 52-4 loss at the hands of the Mustangs on Saturday. Klondike's loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Jared Quintanilla threw for 49 yards on three of five attempts.
Creed Warren was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards.
Grayson Rigdon was his usual excellent self, rushing for 323 yards and six touchdowns on only eight carries for Benjamin. Rigdon was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards.
Klondike's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Benjamin, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Klondike does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Benjamin will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oglesby at 2:00 p.m. on December 13th. Oglesby has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 742 points over their last 13 games.
