The Chadron Cardinals lost against the Rapid City Christian Comets back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Chadron took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets. Chadron has not had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Chadron still got an impressive performance from Demi Ferguson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Taegan Bach, who scored eight points.
Chadron's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Rapid City Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Chadron will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Valentine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday. As for Rapid City Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Alliance will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 141st in Nebraska, while the Comets are ranked 49th in South Dakota).
