The Ridgeview Panthers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Clay Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Ridgeview suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 76-34 defeat at the hands of Orange Park. While losing is never fun, Ridgeview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 699th, while Orange Park is ranked 213th).
JJ Moore put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Clay's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 55-40 fall against Tocoi Creek.
Ridgeview's loss was their 14th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Clay, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Ridgeview was taken down by Clay 72-22 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ridgeview was down 46-11.
