The Clyde Fliers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 65-48 win over Vermilion. That 65-48 margin sets a new team best for Clyde this season.
Katie Shiets was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Shiets has scored at least 25% of Clyde's points. Another player making a difference was Tatum Jeffrey, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Clyde now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Vermilion, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Clyde will head out on the road to face off against Norwalk at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwalk will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Vermilion, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lorain at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lorain has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
