There's no place like home for the Central Indians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 60-53 victory over Natrona County on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Central also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Karson Tempel out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Tempel has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Kelly, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Central has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Natrona County, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sheridan at 12:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Sheridan knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Central likes a good challenge. As for Natrona County, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against East at 12:30 p.m. on February 3rd. East will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Natrona County surely won't give up without a fight.
