Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Elliott). They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 76-9 blowout they got against Darrouzett. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2019.

Fort Elliott is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Darrouzett, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Fort Elliott Cougars take on the Follett Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Darrouzett, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Booker at 7:15 p.m. on January 17th.
