Even though the Vista Ridge Wolves scored an imposing 58 points on Saturday, the Rampart Rams still came out on top. Rampart took their matchup against Vista Ridge 66-58. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rampart.
Emily Huxtable was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Avery Pe?a was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Vista Ridge still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Kaiser, who scored 31 points. Another player making a difference was Sole? Alexander, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds.
Rampart's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Vista Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rampart will take on Widefield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Vista Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Pine Creek at 6:00 p.m. Pine Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Vista Ridge in Colorado (Pine Creek is ranked ninth, while Vista Ridge is ranked 83rd).
