Block is 0-8 against Madison since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Block Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Madison Jaguars at 6:00 p.m.
Last Tuesday, Block lost to Natchez on the road by a decisive 60-46 margin. Block has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Madison waltzed into Monday's contest with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Delhi Charter 79-44 on the road. Considering Madison has won four matchups by more than 20 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Madison relied on the efforts of Amarrion White, who scored 12 points, and Ja'Darrian Williams, who scored 15 points. Marquis Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Block's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Madison, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Block ended up a good deal behind Madison when the teams last played back in January, losing 68-52. Can Block avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
