The Fredonia Yellowjackets were the 71-67 winner over the Humboldt Cubs when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Fredonia took a serious blow against Humboldt on Tuesday, falling 65-30. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fredonia has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Humboldt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sam Hull, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The match was Hull's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Asher Hart was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Fredonia and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Humboldt, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Fredonia will face off against Jayhawk Linn at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Humboldt will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Cherryvale at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. Cherryvale is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
