Pickens is 0-7 against the Red Raiders since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pickens Blue Flame will be playing at home against the Greenville Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. The timing isn't great for Pickens: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Red Raiders have snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
Pickens struggled with assists on Friday (the Green Wave had 15 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Pickens took a serious blow against the Green Wave, falling 85-37.
Despite the loss, Pickens had strong showings from Brooks Dow, who scored 14 points, and Gavin Mock, who scored seven points.
Pickens struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Greenville didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Eagles on Monday, but they still walked away with a 60-54 win.
Pickens has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Greenville, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.
