The Woodlawn Warriors suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 75-35 defeat at the hands of Hereford. While losing is never fun, Woodlawn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 159th, while Hereford is ranked 35th).
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Madison Marshall, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Marshall has scored all season. Jordan Harding was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Woodlawn's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-7. As for Hereford, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Woodlawn will be playing in front of their home fans against Kenwood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Kenwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Wednesday. As for Hereford, they will head out on the road to face off against Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Franklin will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
