The Cedar Valley Aviators will head out on the road to challenge the Herriman Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cedar Valley had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Springville on Friday. The Aviators blew past the Red Devils 14-8. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 29, 2025, but that streak is no more.

Meanwhile, Herriman faced Westlake in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Thunder a 5-0 shutout.
Sofia Lancaster made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Lancaster was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aspyn Hawes, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ayvree Egelund, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.
Herriman's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-2. As for Cedar Valley, their record now sits at 12-10.
Cedar Valley couldn't quite get it done against Herriman in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 7-3. Can the Aviators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
