Santa Cruz Valley's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Sequoia Pathway Academy by a score of 43-33. The victory was just what Santa Cruz Valley needed coming off of a 51-12 defeat in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 27-27 at halftime, Chandler Prep was not quite St. Augustine Catholic's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Chandler Prep fell 57-50 to St. Augustine Catholic.
Santa Cruz Valley's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Chandler Prep, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
Santa Cruz Valley came up short against Chandler Prep in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 36-25. Can Santa Cruz Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
