The Houston County Lions will be playing at home against the Brantley Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Houston County has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 28.
Last Thursday, Houston County ended up a good deal behind Florala and lost 64-47. While losing is never fun, Houston County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 460th, while Florala is ranked 99th).
Meanwhile, Brantley beat Kinston 54-43 on Thursday.
Jayden Parks continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 34 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Brantley's points. Daylan Davis was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
Houston County's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-13. As for Brantley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
