With a playoff win on the line, Oceanside Collegiate Academy rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Fox Creek Predators. Winning may never get old, but the Landsharks sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Henry Elizondo looked comfortable as he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Andrew Palmer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Scott Henry, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Oceanside Collegiate Academy pushed their record up to 25-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games.
