Everything went Phalen Leadership Academy's way against Mooresville Christian on Friday as Phalen Leadership Academy made off with a 84-60 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Phalen Leadership Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zinan Taylor, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Murry, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
Phalen Leadership Academy pushed their record up to 10-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points per game. As for Mooresville Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Phalen Leadership Academy will take on Irvington Preparatory Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Irvington Preparatory Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 569 points over their last eight matchups. As for Mooresville Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Tabernacle Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
