They came out on top against the Hunters Lane Warriors by a score of 45-32 on Friday. The Royals' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet to victory were Karina Duronslet and Jadea Johnson. Duronslet posted 14 points, while Johnson had 14 points. Mauri Baker was another key player, putting up eight points.

Hunters Lane's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alayla Owens, who put up 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jaliyah Jarrett, who posted nine points.

Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Hunters Lane, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6.
