Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oak Forest). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Kerr-Vance Academy Spartans 88-52. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.
Oak Forest got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Hunter out in front who went 8 for 13 en route to 22 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That's the most boards Hunter has posted since back in November of 2024. Hampton Dixon was another key player, going 8 of 9 on his way to 21 points.
Oak Forest smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.
Kerr-Vance Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Will Stovall, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was M.J. Wright, who scored 12 points.
Oak Forest's victory bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Kerr-Vance Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
