After flying high against Logansport last Friday, Kokomo came back down to earth. The Kokomo Wildkats took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrison Raiders. The Wildkats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Kokomo still got an impressive performance from Makaela Drake, who posted 21 points. Drake continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Satyra Scott, who earned four points and five steals.
Harrison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elsie Ahnert led the charge by going 7 for 14 en route to 22 points and eight boards. That's the most points Ahnert has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison McColley, who scored seven points and six assists.
Kokomo's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6. As for Harrison, their win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-13.
