The Red Bud Musketeers will head out on the road to face off against the Athens Warriors at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Red Bud is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
Last Friday, Red Bud never let their opponents score. They walked away with a 7-0 win over Chester.
Meanwhile, Athens stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Southwestern 33-7. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Athens was the (much) better team in the second half.
Athens' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cory Craig led the charge by rushing for 154 yards and two touchdowns. Camren Bigard also helped out as he racked up 150 rushing yards.
Red Bud's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.6 points per game. As for Athens, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
