The Sky View Bobcats had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 victory over Cedar on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Liam Guthrie, who scored 28 points. Guthrie set a new season high mark in points with 28. Another player making a difference was Chance Wilson, who scored 12 points.
Sky View's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Cedar, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6.
Sky View will take on Shelley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cedar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountain View at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Mountain View is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.5 points per game.
