The Northern Valley Huskies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Weskan on the road to the tune of 56-21. The victory was some much needed relief for Northern Valley as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northern Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austyn Cox, who scored seven points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Cox hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Sides, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Northern Valley's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8. As for Weskan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northern Valley on the road again on Tuesday and play against Stockton at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Stockton will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Weskan, they will head out on the road to challenge Heartland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
