The Woodcreek Timberwolves will venture away from home to take on the Christian Brothers Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Christian Brothers took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Woodcreek, who comes in off a win.
While Woodcreek's victory against Rio Americano wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Woodcreek skirted past Rio Americano 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.
Woodcreek was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 27-25, 23-25, 23-25, 25-22, 15-11.

Woodcreek's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Levi Black, who had seven digs and two aces, and Noah Turnbull, who had 15 digs. That's the most digs Turnbull has posted over his last seven games. Emmery Zamudio was another key player, getting eight digs and three assists.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Christian Brothers took on Vista del Lago on Monday. Christian Brothers lost 3-0 to Vista del Lago. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered against the Eagles since April 21, 2022.
While Christian Brothers ultimately came up short, they really made Vista del Lago work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-18, 25-17.
Woodcreek's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Christian Brothers, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.
Woodcreek was able to grind out a solid victory over Christian Brothers in their previous matchup back in March, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodcreek since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
