The Happy Camp Indians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Dunsmuir 68-19 at home. With that win, Happy Camp brought their scoring average up to 51.8 points per game.
Luis Osorio was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Osorio is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jean Wright, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Dunsmuir struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Happy Camp racked up 14 assists.
Happy Camp pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.4 points per game. As for Dunsmuir, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Happy Camp won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bethel Christian at 3:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Dunsmuir, they will be playing at home against Tulelake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Leo Leon and Michael Kellar.
