Brookhaven and Laurel pushed the score to 31-28 the last time they played Laurel, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Panthers came out on top against the Golden Tornadoes by a score of 14-6. The 14-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The critical scores for Brookhaven came from Zacarias Richardson and Dreamus Harron.

Brookhaven got some further help from Jeremy Bibbs: he picked up two sacks, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles.
