The North Springs Spartans lost against the Kell Longhorns back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. North Springs took a serious blow against Kell, falling 79-49. North Springs has not had much luck with Kell recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why North Springs lost, one person who can't be blamed is Esmer Madesko. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Madesko scored a full 34.7% of North Springs' points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Robert Harris was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
North Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Kell, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Springs has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Roswell at 3:30 p.m. on January 6th. Kell will take on Chattahoochee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chattahoochee will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 80th, while Kell is ranked second).
