Palmer had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 34-66 walloping at Osceola/High Plains hands. Palmer were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 22-52.
Junior Keaton Van Housen, who rushed for 200 yards and 4 touchdowns, was a major factor in the success. Junior Dylan Soule was in the mix, too, providing Osceola/High Plains with with 3 touchdowns. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Palmer off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Osceola/High Plains a 1-0 record.
Next week, Palmer take on Cross County at 7:00 PM. As for Osceola/High Plains, they will face of against Fullerton.
