Football Recap: Buchholz Piles Up the Points Against St. John Lutheran

Buchholz got themselves on the board against St. John Lutheran on Thursday, but St. John Lutheran never followed suit. They really took it to the St. John Lutheran Saints for the full four quarters, racking up a 40-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bobcats also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Buchholz didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Taylor Booth led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself.

The win made it two in a row for Buchholz and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buchholz will venture away from home to square off against Lake Weir at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John Lutheran, they are taking a road trip to challenge North Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. John Lutheran is coming into the contest on a ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.
