Ketcham is a perfect 5-0 against Ramapo since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Storm are taking a road trip to challenge the Gryphons at 5:00 p.m. Ketcham has given up an average of 27.4 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Ketcham is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since October 19, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Yonkers Force [Gorton/Roosevelt/Yonkers Montessori Academy/Yonkers], falling 38-13. The Storm have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ramapo). They took their contest on Thursday with ease, bagging a 42-7 victory over Port Chester. The win was familiar territory for the Gryphons, who have now won three games in a row.
Ketcham better keep an eye on Nahum Pierre. He was instrumental in Ramapo's win, rushing for 186 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 109 yards and one TD. Pierre's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.
Ramapo was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Ramapo didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Davonte Brown.
Ketcham now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Ramapo, their record is now an identical 3-4.
Ketcham barely slipped by Ramapo in their previous matchup back in September, winning 42-41. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Pierre, who rushed for 167 yards and three scores while picking up 9.3 yards per carry. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Storm still be able to contain Pierre? There's only one way to find out.
