They claimed a resounding 55-24 win over Bloomington South on the road. Given Center Grove's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Bloomington South is ranked 119th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Center Grove got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rachel Wirts out in front who scored 15 points. The contest was Wirts' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aubrie Booker, who scored 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Center Grove pushed their record up to 10-1 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bloomington South, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Center Grove will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Martinsville at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. As for Bloomington South, they will face off against Bloomington North at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
