The Woodbridge Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Colonial Forge Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodbridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.1 runs per game this season.
Woodbridge will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Freedom on Friday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 33-1 margin over the Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Jorja Gregory and Regan Senecal made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Gregory tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Senecal tossed 2.1 innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. Gregory has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Gregory went 2-for-6 with four runs, two RBI, and one double, while Senecal went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. Those two hits gave Gregory a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mya Foster was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with five runs, six RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobbi Tate, who went 4-for-6 with six runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Woodbridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Freedom only posted an OBP of .235.
Meanwhile, Colonial Forge hadn't done well against Mountain View recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Eagles won by a run and slipped past the Wildcats 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Woodbridge's record is now 4-8. As for Colonial Forge, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Woodbridge came up short against Colonial Forge in their previous meeting back in March, falling 13-9. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
