Given Campolindo's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while Acalanes is ranked 480th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Campolindo's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gavin Rendle, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Dylan Mansour, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, Acalanes still got an impressive performance from Liam Krackeler, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Preston Hilsabeck was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Campolindo pushed their record up to 16-4 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.9 points per game. As for Acalanes, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campolindo will take on Benicia at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Benicia has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 871 points over their last 13 matches. As for Acalanes, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Berean Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Berean Christian is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
