The Providence Athletic Club Panthers will face off against the Wagener-Salley War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Providence Athletic Club is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Last Thursday, Providence Athletic Club earned a 6-2 victory over Westwood. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Atalie Gauntt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up 18 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.6 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bridget Kean, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kaylin Otey, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Wagener-Salley, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They were the clear victor by a 15-4 margin over Calhoun County on Tuesday.
Makenley Walling and Kylee Hooker were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Walling struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Hooker pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Walling gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in March of 2024. At the plate, Walling went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Hooker got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave Walling a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, Kaylee Craven was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of M Jackson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Wagener-Salley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Calhoun County only posted an OBP of .273.
Providence Athletic Club pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 9 runs. As for Wagener-Salley, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Everything went Providence Athletic Club's way against Wagener-Salley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Providence Athletic Club made off with an 11-0 win.
