Blair Oaks and Rock Bridge are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Falcons will challenge the Bruins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Blair Oaks didn't have quite enough to beat Capital City and fell 3-2.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Blair Oaks sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-17, 12-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-10.

Blair Oaks' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kendall Wood, who had 26 digs and two aces, and Laney Toebben, who had six aces and five digs. Wood is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.
Meanwhile, Rock Bridge waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 3-1.
While Rock Bridge might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Battle scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 15-25, 25-21.
Blair Oaks better keep an eye on Terry Schrock. She was instrumental in Rock Bridge's win, getting 25 digs and five aces.
Rock Bridge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive contests.
Rock Bridge now has a winning record of 18-17. As for Blair Oaks, their loss dropped their record down to 14-19.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Blair Oaks hasn't let much over the net this season, having averaged 6.8 blocks per game. It's a different story for Rock Bridge, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.1 blocks. Given Blair Oaks' sizable advantage in that area, the Bruins will need to find a way to close that gap.
Blair Oaks might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Rock Bridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
