Pyramid Lake is 4-0 against Owyhee since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Pyramid Lake Lakers will take on the Owyhee Braves at 7:45 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Pyramid Lake blew past Mountain View Christian, posting a 61-33 victory at home.
Pyramid Lake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Takoda Rivers, who scored 16 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Rivers has scored at least 25% of Pyramid Lake's points. Another player making a difference was Warren Christy, who scored 14 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Owyhee put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 63-18 win over Whittell on the road. The result was nothing new for Owyhee, who have now won three matches by 41 points or more so far this season.
The victory got Pyramid Lake back to even at 2-2. As for Owyhee, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Pyramid Lake came out on top in a nail-biter against Owyhee in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 58-56. Does Pyramid Lake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Owyhee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
