Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Porter Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Ardrey Kell 5-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Pirates as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Brooklyn Green was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Green was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Green wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Stamey, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Palisades hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Porter Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Palisades might still be hurting after the 16-0 loss they got from Porter Ridge in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Palisades avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
