Neumann Regional Academy is 2-8 against Millville since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Golden Knights will welcome the Quakers at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
As a matter of fact, Neumann Regional Academy put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 27-11 margin over Sullivan County. The win was familiar territory for the Golden Knights, who have now won four games in a row.

Andrew Walter made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Walter was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with seven RBI, three runs, and one double. Those seven RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Angelo Birch and Avery Taddeo did most of the damage at the plate: Birch got on base in all six of his plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI, while Taddeo got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs and four RBI. That's the most runs Birch has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nolan Fagnano, who got on base in three of his six plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Neumann Regional Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sullivan County only posted a batting average of .300.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Millville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Montgomery by a score of 16-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Quakers have suffered since May 15, 2024.
Dylan Brokenshire made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Shane Johnson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs.
Neumann Regional Academy pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Millville, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Thursday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Neumann Regional Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .496. However, it's not like Millville struggles in that department as they've averaged .485. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
