Carroll's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily George, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was George's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Myers, who scored 19 points.
Homestead's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Carroll, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.
Homestead didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Carroll when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 60-55 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Carroll's Taylor Fordyce, who scored 19 points along with 4 steals.
