West Port was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Crystal River Pirates by a score of 49-47. One positive for the Wolf Pack, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Crystal River's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jake Yost, who posted 17 points, to go along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ej Jenkins, who put up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

West Port's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Crystal River, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

West Port wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 76-50 defeat against North Marion on the 6th. Crystal River has also already played their next contest, a 55-52 victory against Hernando on the 6th.
