Mason Classical Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 49-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southwest Florida Christian King. While the Paladins didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the King's 9-4 in the first quarter.

Mason Classical Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michelle McCash, who posted 18 points. That was a full 41.9% of the Paladins' points, marking the third time in a row McCash has put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Desrosiers, who scored 11 points.

Mason Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Southwest Florida Christian, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Mason Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-16 victory against Everglades City on the 9th. As for Southwest Florida Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-27 win against Cypress Lake on the 11th.
