Given Lampeter-Strasburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Northern Lebanon is ranked 534th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Lampeter-Strasburg to victory were Chase Smucker and Justin Glick. Smucker scored 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals, while Glick scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Yasin Abdi was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five assists.
Lampeter-Strasburg's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Northern Lebanon, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Lampeter-Strasburg won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Chambersburg at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. Chambersburg is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Northern Lebanon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cocalico at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
